ParticipantBeen watching a couple of my sites over the last week and traffic is doing that annoying thing where impressions stay pretty stable but clicks are bouncing around like crazy.
One affiliate site in the home niche is still ranking for a bunch of mid-tail terms, but the CTR dropped hard on a few pages that used to pull decent traffic. I didn’t change much on-page, so I’m guessing it’s either SERP layout changes or Google testing different result types again.
What I’m testing right now:
– rewriting titles to be more benefit-driven
– tightening meta descriptions on money pages
– adding FAQ sections where it makes sense
– checking if AI-written intros are hurting engagement
– comparing pages that held vs. pages that droppedAlso noticed a couple of my AI-assisted articles are indexing fine, but they’re not converting nearly as well as manually edited pages with better internal linking. Not shocking, but still annoying.
For monetization, I’m seeing better EPC on pages where I moved affiliate links higher up and cut some of the fluff. Nothing fancy, just cleaner layout and faster path to the offer.
Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing:
– clicks down, impressions flat?
– any title tweaks that helped CTR recover?
– are you still using AI content heavily, or backing off a bit after the recent updates?Would be good to compare notes. I’m trying to keep this stuff practical and not overcomplicate it.
