ParticipantHey folks,
Not sure if it’s just me, but I’ve been seeing some pretty weird CTR changes across a few of my affiliate sites over the last couple weeks.
A couple pages that held steady for months suddenly dipped even though rankings didn’t move much. On the flip side, a few lower-ranking pages started pulling way better clicks than expected. Nothing huge yet, but enough to make me double-check Search Console every morning.
What I’ve tested so far:
– Tweaked title tags to be more direct
– Added a few comparison-style intros on money pages
– Swapped some FAQ blocks around
– Tried a couple AI-assisted meta descriptions just to see if they helpSo far, the biggest lift seems to come from simpler titles, not fancy stuff. The more “SEO-ish” the title, the worse it seems to perform lately. At least on my end.
Also seeing mixed results with AI content. Some pages are still holding fine, but a few thin affiliate posts got hit hard after the update. I’m leaning more toward cleaning up existing content instead of pumping out new stuff right now.
Curious what everyone else is seeing:
– CTR up or down?
– Any title tag changes helping?
– Anyone still getting decent results from AI content with light editing?
– Are you seeing ranking drops or mostly traffic drops without ranking loss?Would be good to compare notes since Google seems to be doing its usual random stuff again.
