Been messing around with title tag tests on a couple affiliate sites the last few weeks, and I’m seeing some weirdly good CTR bumps from simpler AI-assisted headlines.

Nothing crazy, just small changes like:
– cutting fluff
– adding the main keyword closer to the front
– making the title sound more “human” instead of SEO-ish
– testing numbers vs no numbers

Example:
Old title was something like:
**Best Budget Standing Desk Options for Home Offices in 2024**

New version I tested:
**Best Budget Standing Desks I’d Actually Buy for a Home Office**

CTR moved up a bit on the pages that already had decent impressions. Not saying AI is magic or anything, but it’s been useful for generating a bunch of title variations fast.

Same thing with meta descriptions. I’ve had better luck keeping them short and direct instead of trying to stuff in every keyword variation.

Curious if anyone else is seeing the same thing, especially after the latest Google shuffle. Are you guys still hand-writing titles, or using AI to crank out variations and then picking the best one?

Also wondering if anyone has had better luck with:
– question-style titles
– list-style titles
– “I tested X” style titles
– or just plain keyword-first titles

Would be good to compare notes. I’m mostly focused on affiliate pages, so CTR and intent match matter way more to me than fancy SEO theory.
