Been noticing some odd stuff this week and wanted to see if anyone else is seeing the same.
A couple of my affiliate sites held rankings pretty well, but CTR took a hit on a few money pages even though positions didn’t move much. One page that used to pull decent clicks from a top 3 spot is now getting way fewer visits, and I’m wondering if it’s just SERP layout changes or if Google is testing more ads / AI stuff in my niche.
What I’ve tried so far:
– Tightened up titles to be more specific and less “SEO-ish”
– Tested a few meta description variations
– Added a couple of FAQ sections to better match intent
– Checked GSC for pages with high impressions but weak clicks
One thing I’m noticing is that pages with more direct, benefit-driven titles are holding up better than the generic ones. Nothing scientific yet, just a pattern from my own sites.
Also curious if anyone is using AI tools to speed up title/meta testing without making things sound robotic. I’ve been using them mostly for idea generation, but not sure if it’s worth going harder on that.
If you’ve seen CTR changes lately, what’s been working for you? Especially on affiliate pages where every click matters.
