ParticipantBeen noticing some odd stuff across a few affiliate sites this week and wanted to see if it’s just me.
One of my smaller review sites is still ranking in the same spots, but CTR has dropped hard on a handful of pages. Same titles, same meta descriptions, same intent match. Nothing major changed on the site itself. I also have another site in a different niche where traffic actually picked up a bit, but only on pages targeting long-tail commercial keywords.
What I’ve tested so far:
– Tweaked title tags on 6 pages
– Added FAQ schema to 4 posts
– Swapped a couple intro paragraphs to be more direct
– Ran a quick internal link pass from older postsSo far, the only thing that seemed to help a little was making titles more specific and less “SEO-ish.” Basically, less fluff, more straight-to-the-point benefit. Not a huge win, but enough to keep testing.
I’m also seeing AI content pages get indexed fine, but they’re not holding as well unless I add some real-world comparison or first-hand angle. Pure generic stuff feels dead right now.
For monetization, my affiliate pages are still converting better than ad-heavy content, especially when the page matches a clear buyer intent. That part hasn’t really changed much.
Curious what everyone else is seeing:
– CTR drops without rank drops?
– Any title tag changes that actually moved the needle?
– Are AI-assisted pages still working for you, or are they getting buried?Would love to compare notes.
