ParticipantHey folks,
I’ve been watching a couple of my affiliate sites this week and something feels off. Rankings are mostly stable, but CTR is bouncing around way more than usual. Same pages, same titles, same snippets, but some keywords are getting hammered while others are oddly holding up.
A few quick observations from my side:
– Informational posts are still bringing in traffic, but not converting worth a damn
– Product comparison pages are doing better than pure review posts right now
– A couple of AI-assisted pages I published last month actually moved up faster than expected
– Search Console is showing impressions up on some terms, but clicks are flat or downI’m testing a few things:
1. Tightening title tags to be more specific and less “SEO-ish”
2. Rewriting intros so they hit the search intent faster
3. Adding a few more internal links to money pages
4. Swapping out some AI-generated sections that feel too genericNot trying to overcomplicate it. My gut says this is more CTR and intent matching than anything super technical.
Curious what everyone else is seeing. Are you guys noticing:
– ranking drops
– CTR changes
– better performance from AI content
– affiliate conversions getting worse or better?Would be good to compare notes because right now it feels like Google is rewarding some weird mix of freshness and intent match, at least on my end.
