ParticipantHey guys,
I’ve been watching a couple of my affiliate sites this week and the CTR has been all over the place. Rankings didn’t move much on some pages, but clicks dropped hard on a few money keywords. Other pages actually picked up a bit, so it’s not a total disaster, just kind of messy.
What I’m seeing:
– Top 3 positions holding steady on some posts
– CTR down on comparison pages with no obvious reason
– A few informational posts getting more impressions but not converting
– One affiliate page that used to be a steady earner suddenly lost about 20-25% of clicksI’ve been testing title tweaks and meta changes to see if I can recover some of it. Nothing crazy, just making titles a bit more direct and less fluffy. Also tried swapping in a couple of AI-assisted snippets for FAQs, but honestly the impact is still unclear.
My gut says this is partly Google being Google, and partly me needing to clean up how the pages are matching search intent. I’ve noticed that pages with sharper “best X for Y” angles are holding up better than broad roundup posts.
For anyone else running affiliate sites:
– Are you seeing CTR drops without ranking drops?
– Have title rewrites helped at all?
– Any tools you’re using to spot snippet issues faster?I’m trying to keep it simple and focus on pages that already have impressions. Feels like the fastest win is usually just improving the SERP hook instead of rewriting the whole article.
Curious what everyone else is seeing.
