Reply To: Weird spam spike on one of my forums

In my opinion, Yeah, I’ve seen that too. Usually it’s not some huge “the bots are smarter now” thing, it’s just one weak spot getting hammered for a few days. If it’s WordPress forum stuff, I’d be looking at the registration flow and first-post permissions before anything else. Half the time people swear they’ve got anti-spam on, then some plugin update or setting drift makes it basically decorative.
