ParticipantHey guys,
Just wanted to throw this out there because I’m seeing some strange stuff across a few of my affiliate sites this week.
A couple pages that held steady for months suddenly dropped clicks even though average positions didn’t move much. One product roundup is still sitting around the same spot in Search Console, but CTR tanked hard. Another page actually picked up impressions but didn’t convert worth a damn.
I’ve been testing a few things:
– rewriting titles to be more direct
– adding price/“best for” type modifiers
– tightening up meta descriptions
– moving affiliate buttons higher on the page
– using AI to generate FAQ sections, then editing them manuallyMixed results so far. The biggest lift came from changing titles on pages that were already ranking 3-8. Nothing crazy, just making them less generic and more specific to search intent.
I’m also noticing some traffic loss on older content that used to do well with informational terms. Feels like Google is rewarding pages that look a bit more “real” and useful, but honestly it’s hard to tell what’s algorithm noise and what’s a real pattern.
Curious if anyone else is seeing:
– CTR drops without ranking loss
– affiliate pages getting hit harder than info pages
– any wins from AI-assisted content lately
– title tag changes that actually moved the needleNot looking for theory here, just real-world stuff. What’s working for you right now?
