Been noticing some odd stuff the last few days and wanted to compare notes.
One of my affiliate sites is holding rankings pretty well, but CTR is all over the place. Same positions, same snippets, yet traffic is bouncing more than usual. Another site in a different niche actually picked up a bit after a small content refresh, so I’m not sure if this is just volatility or if Google is testing different SERP layouts again.
What I’ve done so far:
– checked Search Console for page-level drops
– compared branded vs non-branded queries
– tweaked a few titles to be more direct
– tested adding FAQ-style sections to a couple pages
– watched affiliate clicks separately from organic visits
So far, the biggest win has been tightening titles around intent instead of trying to be clever. The “best X for Y” style pages are still doing the most work for me.
Curious if anyone else is seeing:
– ranking stays flat but CTR changes
– AI content pages getting hit harder
– affiliate pages losing clicks even when positions look fine
– any clear pattern with mobile vs desktop
Would be good to hear what’s actually moving the needle right now, because the usual “just add more content” advice isn’t really helping.
