Yeah, I’d still want to see GSC before calling it a “weird drop.” If clicks fell but impressions didn’t, that’s usually not some mystery site issue. If both tanked, then something on the site got touched, even if it was accidental. Seen that plenty of times with one template or one section going sideways and nobody notices until traffic’s already gone. If you want, post whether it’s clicks, impressions, or both.
